2020 Consultation Forms: Due Nov. 1st

It is the start of consultation season. Thank you for serving the congregation in leadership. The collaborative work between laity leadership and the clergy of a congregation makes all the difference as you bless the Kingdom and the church.

As we prepare to think about the next appointment year, it is time to hear the congregation’s and pastor's perspective of whether the pastoral/congregational relationship is one that should be continued in the 2021-2022 appointment year. As we speak in love and grace, a healthy congregation is the result.

Please complete the forms listed below, sign  and return it to the district office no later than November 1, 2020. Click on the name to download the forms. 

Every pastor serving under appointment is required to complete a Pastor Consultation Form. The PPR at each church is required to complete a form. Melissa has put together a video explaining the process. Please watch the Consultation Season video from Northwest District UMC on Vimeo.
The Bishop and district superintendents will gather for a retreat in early January to review these requests.  What you report becomes one of the primary guides they use in the appointment process.  PPRs or Pastors may also ask for a face-to-face conversation with the District Superintendent if there are additional issues you wish to discuss. These discussions will happen in November and December. 

Please make sure all forms are completed and signed before submitting them to the district office by November 1st!
